NYLPI and eight other groups joined an amicus brief, which was filed in the Southern District of New York on Friday, April 12, 2024.

The amicus brief, written by Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP, supports the underlying litigation between Taxi for All Campaign, Dr. Simi Linton, an individual,United Spinal Association,504 Democratic Club, and Disabled in Action. vs. the Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) and other defendants.

The TLC agreed to make 50% of yellow taxis accessible and asked the Court to release it from the settlement. As all New Yorkers deserve accessible transportation, plaintiffs are fighting to keep the TLC bound to the settlement.
