Martina Preston, this year's student body president at Northwest University, has truly made the most of her college experience. Excelling in her classes, she has also succeeded socially and led her peers in creating a great student community. Serving on the President's Cabinet, she has been a reliable voice for student perspectives and a source of wisdom beyond her years. She even found a fiancé. But she has also arrived at a deep understanding of what it means to put Jesus first in an academic environment. As an English and Communication Studies major, she has studied under spiritual giants at Northwest. "In my classes in British literature," she says, "where I expected to memorize some Middle English poetry and recite historical dates, I've encountered the living God! . . . Attending Northwest University was the best decision of my life."

Take a look at her testimony and hear about her experience at NU. But go further. Talk to a high school student you love and urge them to consider her story also. They will get a first-rate education at Northwest University. But they'll get a lot more. They'll experience the reality of God and learn to articulate it, building their own testimony of life-changing encounters in the midst of intellectual and professional training. They'll discover an integration of faith and learning in a way that deeply informs their view of the world-a perspective that will last a lifetime. They'll also build a community of friends to encourage their faith in the years to come.

And we will help them afford it, especially as friends like you give to support our general scholarship fund. Without her scholarship, Martina could not have afforded the education that changed her future. With our help, others will tell the same story.

If you, or someone you love, would like to begin their NU story this fall, there's still time. Our application deadline has been extended to June 1, and generous financial aid and scholarships are still available. Admissions counselors are standing by to assist you.
