Original consultation

We want your views on our proposals to amend the current guidance on the installation of carbon monoxide alarms.

Consultation description

We are proposing to amend the current statutory guidance (Approved Document J) supporting Part J of the Building Regulations.

The amendment will require that carbon monoxide alarms are fitted alongside the installation of flued fixed combustion appliance of any fuel type in all residential dwellings.
