NRCS Texas to hold State Technical Committee meeting

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Texas will hold the State Technical Committee meeting May 7, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Temple, 1749 Scott Blvd., Temple, Texas.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1. Welcome

2. Agency Updates

3. Farm Bill and Inflation Reduction Act Program Summary

4. Subcommittee Reports

5. Public Comment and Open Discussion

6. Closing Discussion/Adjourn

During the meeting, NRCS staff will seek input from Texas citizens and representatives of organizations and agencies regarding natural resource priorities and concerns. This input will help guide the delivery of NRCS conservation programs and technical assistance within the state. NRCS and other USDA agencies will provide brief updates on Farm Bill programs and be available for participants to ask questions and offer suggestions. Those unable to attend the meeting are encouraged to send a representative in their place.
