DNI Haines Statement on the Confirmation of Harry Coker, Jr., as National Cyber Director

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Director of National Intelligence Avril D. Haines today issued the following statement:

"On behalf of the entire Intelligence Community (IC), I wish to congratulate Harry Coker, Jr., on his confirmation as our nation's second National Cyber Director - we are very lucky to have him in this role. Harry is a great leader and a distinguished IC alumnus, having served in senior roles at the Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency. His confirmation comes at a critical time as cyber is woven into so many aspects of our national security, and his expertise, coupled with his stellar reputation for collaboration and problem-solving, are just what we need. Congratulations, Harry!"
