The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) of Douglas has received two (2) Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) applications. One (1) application seeks to change the roof pitch for the building located at 202 Madison Avenue N. The second (2) application seeks to add a fence, gates, and a driveway to the existing building for the property located at 426 Ward St. E.
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held to review the submitted COAs by the Historic Preservation Committee at their regular meeting on February 27, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall located at 302 S. Madison Ave., Douglas, GA 31533.
The applications can be reviewed at the City of Douglas Community Development Department, Planning & Zoning Division, 302 S. Madison Ave., Douglas, GA 31533, between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday. Holiday hours may differ. Requests for reviews of the application may be made until February 27, 2025, by 4:00 p.m.
Anyone interested in or having any comments, questions, or concerns regarding these locations should attend the public hearing on the above-stated date.
