Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga embarks on National Roadshow to Fix Provincial Roads Infrastructure, 5 Jun

The Ministry of Transport hereby invites members of the media to the National roadshow to fix potholes and road infrastructure scheduled to take place across all provinces starting in Bloemfontein, Free State on Monday, 05 June 2023.

Minister Chikunga will conduct an oversight visit of the Hauweng Integrated Public Transport Network (IPTN) and receive a progress status update on the various Phases of the project including the forensic investigation conducted on the project.

Minister Chikunga will be met and received during the visit by Free State Acting Premier, Moses Ketso Makume, the Executive Council as well as senior national and provincial officials..

The oversight visits have been prompted by the deterioration in the condition of roads with the recommendation that priority focus be given to the Free State to address challenges regarding road infrastructure improvements and maintenance.
