  • Join us for our Earth Day 2024 Stewardship Event at Squaxin Park! Show your support for Earth Day by participating in a restoration project at Squaxin Park! The City of Olympia is teaming up with the PARC Foundation of Thurston County and local Lions Clubs to celebrate Earth Day in style, with a fun and exciting volunteer work party. Thanks to Lions Club donations, the school with the most student volunteers will win cash for their school! Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided.   • Over the past year, City of Olympia staff and consultants have conducted an Urban Farm Park Feasibility Study to help Olympia explore municipal-driven access to agricultural lands and experiences. On March 26, the Olympia City Council reviewed a draft of the resulting Urban Farm Park Feasibility Study. Learn more here.
  • The Asian Pacific Islander Coalition of South Puget Sound is partnering with the City of Olympia and South Puget Sound Community College to host the second annual Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration on May 11 from 11 am to 4 pm at South Puget Sound Community College - Lacey campus. This is a free, family friendly event. We have a wonderful line up of 40+ performers, vendors, and activities including performances highlighting Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, and Filipino cultures; tasty Korean, Hawaiian, and Micronesian cuisine; artisan made crafts and community educational resources.
