Four Men Arrested in Carjacking Investigation,
Eglinton Avenue East and Kennedy Road South area

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of four arrests made in a carjacking investigation.

On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, police responded to a theft of vehicle call in the Eglinton Avenue East and Kennedy Road South area.

It is alleged that:

  • the victim parked their vehicle and observed two male suspects parked nearby in a red vehicle
  • one suspect produced a handgun and made a demand for the victim's vehicle keys
  • the suspect took the keys and drove away from the scene in the victim's vehicle with the red vehicle in tandem

Uniform and plainclothes officers from 42 Division quickly responded to the area and located three vehicles parked together including the victim's vehicle and the red vehicle. Officers observed four male suspects around the vehicles and took them into custody.

It is further alleged that:

  • at the time of the arrests, officers recovered items of evidentiary value related to the investigation

Deandre Robinson, 21, of Hamilton, was charged with:

  1. Robbery With Firearm
  2. Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
  3. Possession Automobile Master Key
  4. Possession of Break-in Instrument
  5. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
  6. Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime
  7. Possession Proceeds of Crime Over

Alyan Shahbaz, 22, of Milton, was charged with:

  1. Robbery With Firearm
  2. Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
  3. Possession Automobile Master Key
  4. Possession of Break-in Instrument
  5. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
  6. Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime
  7. Possession Proceeds of Crime Over
  8. Fail to Comply Probation Order

Senduran Suthaharan, 29, of Bradford, was charged with:

  1. Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
  2. Possession Automobile Master Key
  3. Possession of Break-in Instrument
  4. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
  5. Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime
  6. Possession Proceeds of Crime Over

Ravinder Muker, 40, of Milton, was charged with:

  1. Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
  2. Possession Automobile Master Key
  3. Possession of Break-in Instrument
  4. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
  5. Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime
  6. Possession Proceeds of Crime Over

All are scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 103.
