Minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma delivers keynote address at IEC Women’s Dialogue, 30 Aug

Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will take part in the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) Women's Dialogue on 30 August 2023. This dialogue is under the theme "Women's Dialogue on Gender Parity and Gender-Based Political Violence".

The Dialogue intends to explore, analyse and discuss factors that have a significant impact on participation and representation of women in politics. The engagement will bring together different policy makers, experts and practitioners in the fields of electoral democracy.

The Dialogue will also outline and characterise the importance women's rights and challenges facing women in achieving gender parity in political representation in South Africa's electoral democracy.

Minister Dlamini Zuma will draw from the work of the Ministry of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities on advancing women's rights to equality, as well as promoting gender transformation.
