NOTICE OF WATER RIGHT APPLICATION

LAS 28764

Pursuant to AS 46.15.133 and 11 AAC 93.080, notice is hereby given that the Chignik Lake Village Council, PO Box 33, Chignik Lake, Alaska 99548, applied for a permit to appropriate water on November 7, 2012. The application proposes the following:

The withdrawal of up to 8,000 gallons/day from January 1^st through December 31^st each year from a drilled well, 56 ½ feet deep, located within a public utility easement within Lot 2, Block 7 of U.S. Survey 4897, further located within the NE1/4 SW1/4 of Section 26, Township 45 South, Range 61 West, Seward Meridian, Aleutian Islands Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska.

The proposed purpose of use is a public water supply for the Village of Chignik Lake, located within the portion of Section 26, Township 45 South, Range 61 West, Seward Meridian, located south of Chignik River.

Per AS 46.15.133 (a), within 15 days of publication or service of notice, persons may file with the director written objections. Comments or objections must be made in writing to the above listed address or to [email protected] by 5:00 p.m. on May 3, 2024. Objection must include the objector's name and address, and any facts tending to show that the rights of the objector or the public interest would be adversely affected by the proposed appropriation.
