VBPD Special Investigations Bureau with the Assistance of the U.S. Homeland Security Investigations Arrests 3 Individuals for Various Crimes Related to Human Trafficking

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - From January 2022 through May 2022, the Virginia Beach Police Department's Special Investigations Bureau - Vice Unit and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations conducted Anti-Human Trafficking operations.

After an extensive investigation, several local, state, and federal agencies executed search warrants on four massage parlors and three residences in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Williamsburg.

As a result, three individuals Yang Gao (33/M of Norfolk, VA), Ye Wang (32/M of Virginia Beach, VA) and Si Liu (35/F of Norfolk, VA) were arrested for multiple criminal offenses to include Sex Trafficking, Maintain or Frequent a Bawdy Place, Prostitution Aiding/Assisting in Procurement and Pander, Pimp or Receive Money from a Prostitute.

The Virginia Beach Police Department remains steadfast in our commitment to Anti-Human Trafficking operations and supporting the Hampton Roads Human Trafficking Task Force.

This case remains under investigation by investigators assigned to the Virginia Beach Police Department Special Investigations Bureau. Anyone with information should contact 757-427-1749
