We're looking for a Community Health Worker Specialist, an Electrical Supervisor, a Housing Inspector II, and others whose work reflects a portion of the many services we offer to the Berkeley community.

As a Community Health Worker Specialist in disease investigation, you'll help control disease outbreaks by interviewing people diagnosed with reportable diseases, their contacts, and healthcare providers.

As an Electrical Supervisor, you'll supervise crews performing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work on various equipment like street lighting, traffic signal control, inside and field wiring, irrigation pumps and motors, HVAC, and telephone systems.

As a Housing Inspector II, you'll work independently to inspect residential housing units to ensure they meet safety and zoning standards. You'll work on a variety of assignments and interact with the public to provide information about ordinances, codes, and regulations.

The City of Berkeley is distinguished by its diversity, community engagement, and activism. Home to the University of California's flagship campus, Berkeley's population is highly educated, diverse, and engaged. The City lies on the east shore of the San Francisco Bay and rolling hills shelter its eastern border. Berkeley spans 10 square miles with 119,000 residents.
