Clarksville Downtown Market opens May 11

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn,- Clarksville Parks & Recreation has announced the return of the Clarksville Downtown Market on May 11, 2024, just in time for Mother's Day weekend.

The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., offering an array of goods and activities for families to enjoy together.

This year, the market will introduce a new layout designed to alleviate parking concerns and enhance the overall experience for patrons.

With a focus on celebrating mothers and all they do, the market will feature a lineup of vendors, including 21 farmers, 62 artisan vendors, and 14 food and drink concessionaires.

Whether visitors are searching for fresh flowers, unique gifts, or farm-fresh produce, they are sure to find something special for mom at the Clarksville Downtown Market.

One of the highlights of this year's market is the introduction of the Sensory Station, located on Public Square near the fountain (booth numbers 30 and 31). This innovative space is designed to provide a calming environment for those experiencing sensory overload, offering activities such as bubbles, play-doh, kinetic sand, and more.

In addition to the traditional market offerings, patrons can enjoy the new Food Court located in the heart of the market. Complete with a live music stage, food trucks, and a covered seating area, the Food Court promises to be a place where visitors can relax and enjoy delicious meals while soaking in the festive atmosphere.

Families with young children will delight in the Petting Zoo & Pony Rides, provided by Pony Pals Party Ponies. Located in the animal corner, patrons can feed and pet the friendly animals or take a ride on a pony.

To address parking concerns, the market offers over 70 parking spaces conveniently located near the venue. Visitors can park in the bottom two parking lots at City Hall, ensuring easy access to all the excitement the market has to offer.

"We are thrilled to kick off the season with a Mother's Day celebration at the Clarksville Downtown Market," said Jennifer Letourneau, Director of Clarksville Parks & Recreation. "This year, we have worked hard to enhance the market experience for both vendors and patrons, and we can't wait to welcome the community back to this Saturday morning tradition."
