Super Load Traffic Advisory

About the Super Load

This is the seventh of nearly two dozen "super loads" that will make their way from a dock on the Ohio River near Manchester in Adams County to New Albany in Licking County. This load, a hex/cold box (air processor), weighs 378,400 pounds and measures nearly 19'3" tall, 20 feet wide, and 128 feet long.

Route Information for Thursday, April 18

  • The first load is scheduled to begin moving east on US Route 52 at approximately 8:15 a.m., just after the last bus transporting students to Manchester Local Schools passes the site.
  • The load is expected to cross over and travel the wrong way in the US Route 52 Westbound lanes just before the junction of SR 239 & US Route 52.
  • The load will travel North on the SR 239 Southbound ramp toward SR 73/SR 852
  • It will then travel South in the Northbound lanes of SR 73/SR 852 to US Route 52
  • Then it will head East in the Westbound lanes on US Route 52 to US Route 23 in Portsmouth
  • Travel North on US Route 23 in the Northbound lanes to the intersection of Kinneys Lane and Argonne Road where it will cross over into the Northbound lanes toward the Village of Piketon
  • Continue to travel North on US Route 23 to Piketon where it will cross over into the Southbound lanes of US Route 23 at Market Street to maneuver around the traffic signals then cross back over into the Northbound lanes of US Route 23
  • Travel North on US Route 23 to Chillicothe
  • Take US Route 35 West to SR 104 North
  • SR 104 North toward SR 207 north of Chillicothe.

Overnight Location: North of SR 104/SR 207 intersection
