Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Aleinik holds negotiations with the Deputy Prime Minister ‒ Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar
15 September 2023On September 15, 2023 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, held negotiations with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Than Swe, as part of his visit to Belarus.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues regarding the development of Belarusian-Myanmar trade, economic, scientific, technical, educational and cultural interaction.
Special attention was paid to cooperation in the field of modernization of agriculture. The Belarusian side emphasized its readiness to share existing experience and achievements in the field of ensuring food security.
The Foreign Ministers exchanged views on issues of the global and regional agenda, as well as the topic of interaction between the two countries within the framework of international organizations.
S.Aleinik welcomed the opening of the Consulate General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Belarus, which will officially take place during the visit, noting that the diplomatic presence of Myanmar in Minsk will help partners become more familiar with Belarus, its trade, economic, scientific and educational potential.
