Army troops restored public transport at Gampola

Sri Lanka Army troops cleared the road between Gampola and Hemmathagama after torrential rains caused a landslide disrupting the passage of public transport services in the area on Sunday evening (Dec 25).

Army sources stated 5 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) of 581 Brigade under the 58 Division troops removed boulders, rocks and mounds of earth on the road and restored normalcy.
