Hartzler Statement on Censure Resolution

WASHINGTON, D.C.-Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-04) has issued the following statement regarding today's censure resolution:

'Members of Congress are elected to faithfully serve their constituents and uphold our Constitution. It is my belief that Rep. Maxine Waters's disgraceful calls for violence over the weekend could incite a riot in Minnesota. This is beneath the dignity of the House and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.

I fully support this resolution to censure Rep. Waters and hope this will send a message to all of Washington that attempts to encourage violence will not be tolerated.'
