Reclamation announces next negotiation session for Stony Gorge Spillway Gate Rehabilitation Extraordinary Maintenance work
ORLAND, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation today announced the next public negotiation session for a repayment contract with the Orland Unit Water Users' Association for the repayment of extraordinary maintenance work, related to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, for the Stony Gorge Reservoir Spillway Gate Replacement Project.
The $3 million allocation to Orland Project announced on May 9will be used for extraordinary maintenance including necessary repairs to restore the safe, long-term operation of the Stony Gorge Spillway Gates to minimize the risk of imminent harm to public health or safety and to property.

Section 9603 of Public Law 111-11 authorizes Reclamation to provide funds for extraordinary maintenance work and to negotiate a contract for repayment of those costs. The Orland Unit Water Users' Association has requested funds in accordance with Public Law 111-11.
