Video explains how Public Works responds to storms

In January, our area was hit by a snow and ice storm, which was made worse a few days later when several inches of frozen rain coated streets and trees in heavy ice. Roads were unsafe to drive, and tree damage made being outdoors treacherous in many parts of the city.

Thanks to lots of experience and planning, City of Eugene Public Works teams were able to spring into action to aid the recovery. Although the cleanup went relatively quickly given the scale of the damage, there were many residents who reached out with questions about City priorities, partnerships and resources.

As a result, we created a video that explains how Public Works crews respond in the face of impending weather, not just during the most recent storm but with all storms. See our video below or on our Vimeo page.
