King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that roadway reconstruction is scheduled on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) under a $56.5 million project to widen and reconstruct a 2.8-mile section of U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) in East Norriton and Whitpain townships, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 80% federal and 20% state funds. Construction on the entire project is expected to be completed in fall 2024.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
