Hrvatski Telekom develops and offers a wide range of solutions from the Smart Agriculture ecosystem, which has an increasingly wide range of applications.

The development of agriculture plays a vital role in the economy and society of any country, and the modern requirements of sustainability and monitoring of every step of cultivation pose challenges to farmers that require rapid adaptation and application of innovative solutions.

The Smart Agriculture solution is Hrvatski Telekom's response to such challenges. It represents a combination of smart devices for collecting agronomic data, a platform consisting of a collected data database, and mobile or web applications for easy viewing. Farmers can access all data in one place, receive notifications about the condition of their fields, and make timely decisions - all via a smartphone.

The devices measure parameters such as temperature, air humidity, and soil moisture at two different depth levels, enabling precise agronomic data monitoring at micro-locations. Based on such data, farmers can make timely decisions that reduce resource wastage and optimize their use.

Croatian companies increasingly realize the importance of applying new technologies in their agricultural practices. Companies such as Podravka, Iločki podrumi, Nutris Farma, and Agrovelebit have recognized the value of the Smart Agriculture solution and use smart devices adapted to the specific needs of their business every day.

"Modern technology is transforming the approach to agriculture. Through Smart Agriculture, it is possible to precisely monitor the conditions in the fields and make decisions based on real data. Everything takes place wirelessly via Hrvatski Telekom's proven network,'' said Nikola Brebrić, ICT business solutions development manager at Hrvatski Telekom.

The solution will be presented at the Spring and Crafts Fair in the Business Center in Osijek from March 15 to 17. Nikola Brebrić will hold a lecture on March 16, "Smart Agriculture: How technology is a game changer in the fields?"
