Turnovers on the money market in the week of 15–19 April 2024

The survey on the daily average turnovers on the money market is carried out by the Czech National Bank regularly four times a year - always in January, April, July and October.

As compared to January figures the daily average turnover of deposit operations decreased from CZK 26.1 bln. to CZK 20.7 bln. that was driven mainly by drop in trades with non-residents. Their share on the total volume reached 85.8 percent. In terms of maturity, the most significant were those with the O/N maturity and their percent share reached 88.4 percent. The volume of repo operations decreased by 20 percent in comparison to last survey but their share of the total turnover remained 66 percent.

The turnover of derivative transactions IRS (Interest Rate Swap) more than tripled as compared to January figures due to trades with non-residents. Volume of FRAs (Forward Rate Agreements) increased significantly when all trades were realized with non-residents.
