PSO Named 2022 Veteran Employer Champion

TULSA, Okla. (Nov. 7, 2022) - Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO), a unit of American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP), was one of 26 companies recognized Monday for hiring and supporting U.S. military veterans during a City Hall ceremony led by Mayor G.T. Bynum.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Oklahoma Veterans Alliance (OVA) recognized PSO as a Veteran Employer Champion. The OVA is a partnership of the Community Service Council, Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs, the Tulsa mayor's office, and area businesses.

PSO has nearly 200 veteran employees.

"PSO is honored by this recognition," said PSO Vice President of External Affairs Tiffini Jackson. "When PSO hires a veteran we know that we are getting a hard-working, skilled worker who knows how to work as part of a mission-driven team. We see the value in that choice every day."
