Special Envoy Zhai Jun of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Attends the 20th IISS Manama Dialogue

From December 6 to 7, 2024, Special Envoy Zhai Jun of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue attended the 20th IISS Manama Dialogue in Bahrain. The Dialogue was co-hosted by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) of the UK and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, with political leaders, military representatives, experts and scholars from over 50 countries and international and regional organizations in attendance.

During the Dialogue, Special Envoy Zhai Jun met respectively with Yemeni Foreign Minister Shaya Mohsin Zindani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Yemen Hans Grundberg, and Swiss Special Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa Wolfgang Amadeus Brülhart at the latter's request. They had an exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East and hotspot issues.
