Mesa Police Holiday Task Force for Cinco de Mayo

The Mesa Police Department (MPD) will be out conducting DUI enforcement activities this weekend. The MPD Traffic Unit will continue its support of the Governors Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) Cinco de Mayo DUI Task Force beginning Friday, May 3 until Sunday, May 5. Emphasized hours will take place between 5 p.m. and 3 a.m.

The Cinco de Mayo DUI Task Force is a local enforcement activity held annually. The mission is to remove impaired drivers off the roadway and create safer streets throughout the valley. Also, to decrease the number of vehicle collisions related to impaired driving.

The Mesa Police Department encourages everyone to enjoy the holiday weekend responsibly and designate a sober driver. Please report reckless, unsafe, or suspected DUI driving to your local law enforcement. Mesa Police Department nonemergency line 480-644-2211.
