Scituate Barracks

On Saturday, May 25th, 2024 at 1:50 PM, Troopers arrested Michael Gomes, age 35, of 26 Jackson Avenue, Johnston, Rhode Island, for a Providence Family Court Domestic Bench Warrant for Neglect to Send Child to School, originating out of the Johnston Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution - Men's Intake Center.

On Saturday, May 25th, 2024 at 11:53 PM, Troopers arrested Fernando Alvarez Vera, age 43, of 88 Unit Street, Apartment 1, Providence, Rhode Island, for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Arraignment Conference on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Schedule I-V) originating out of the Cranston Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution - Men's Intake Center.

On Sunday, May 26th, 2024 at 12:21 AM, Troopers arrested Jose Quevedo Salazar, age 21, of 2558 Hartford Avenue, Johnston, Rhode Island, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs - First Offense - B.A.C. .10 - .15. (Phase I:.115; Phase II: .117). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in the Town of Johnston. The subject was transported to Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
