Lane Closures on State Routes 120 And 49

Tuolumne County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform lane closures on State Route 120 (SR-120) and State Route 49 (SR-49). Work is Scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 120

• One-way traffic control on SR-120 between Sweetwater Campground and Sawmill Mountain Road, east of Groveland, for slope repair beginning Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

• Moving lane closures on westbound and eastbound SR-120 between Ponderosa Lane in Groveland to Sweetwater Campground for a sweeping operation beginning Monday, April 29 through Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

• Moving lane closures on westbound and eastbound SR-120 between Old Priest Grade Road and Vassar Street for a sweeping operation beginning Wednesday, May 1 through Friday, May 3, 2024, from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

State Route 49

• Moving Closures of the #1 (left) lane of northbound and southbound SR-49 from the SR-49/SR-108 junction in Sonora to the Calaveras County line beginning Monday, April 29 through Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

• Overnight one-way traffic control on SR-49 between Smoke Street and Main Street in Jamestown for utility work beginning Sunday, April 28 through Friday, May 3, 2024, from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5 to 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
