My mummy works here: Please help her come home safe

Congrats to Stacey Dykes (left) and Jazmin Taplin from the Training team at Mt Arthur Coal for creating this sign for mums!

Noticing there was a 'My Daddy works here' but no sign for mums on site, Stacey and Jazmin went about creating, sourcing and installing a sign for mums. Stacey is a mum of two and Jazmin is a mum of one.

"It's important for mums and women to feel included in the mining industry," says Stacey.

"It's about raising awareness that we (mums and women) are important too."

Stacey took great initiative in sourcing a company in Queensland, Mine Signs, to copy the style of the original graphic which says: My Daddy works here: Please help him come home safe. This sign has been in place for at least 15 years.

What a great initiative and a great demonstration of safety awareness and inclusiveness in the workplace.
