Appeal: Serious Road Traffic Collision, Gaythorne Road, Bradford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision on Gaythorne Road, Bradford.

Officers were called at 16.09 yesterday (29 April) by the ambulance service to reports of a one vehicle collision on Gaythorne Road at the junction of St Stephens Road.

The driver a man in his 60s was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The Vauxhall Astra was travelling away from Bradford towards New Cross Street when it has drifted across the carriageway and collided with a lampost and parked car.

Early investigations believe that the driver may have suffered a medical episode at the wheel.

Officers would like to appeal for any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident to come forward. They are also keen to see any footage of the vehicle prior to the collision.
