Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan had a meeting with UN Under-Secretary-General for CTO

On May 15, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Vladimir Voronkov, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism Office. The parties discussed partnership in ensuring peace and security, current dynamics, and the efficient means to tackle existing and future challenges not only in the region, but also globally. They reviewed the successful outcomes of the First Central Asia Regional Expert Council Meeting on the Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Returnees: Cooperation for Peace and Security. At the end of the meeting, the parties signed the Road Map on cooperation between Uzbekistan and UN CTO for 2024-2025.
