Decomissioning of all End-of-Day Transparency Data Files on EEX Group DataSource sFTP Server

Dear Esteemed Customers,

As of 01 Jan 2025, EEX Market Data Services will discontinue the publication of end-of-day CSV files for Transparency Data, which are currently delivered via our sFTP server datasource.eex-group.com.

Going forward, this data will be provided exclusively via our API services, which will also include CSV format for your convenience. As a real-time solution, the API will help to better reflect the type of data provided, including all power and natural gas Urgent Market Messages for the European market, which are reported to our EEX Transparency Platform.

Urgent Market Messages (UMMs)

Receiving Urgent Market Messages and other market information as soon as they are available is crucial for your trading decisions and portfolio management. The notification related to the production, consumption, storage, or transmission of an asset alerts you of imminent imbalances in power generation in Europe.

Here, our EEX Transparency API offers you a high speed way to receive these notifications.

Get all European Information

In recent years, great efforts have been made to integrate the European electrical grid by expanding interconnection capacities. This means that the geographical significance of power generation for a particular local consumption is becoming less and less important.

For this reason, we are convinced that receiving information in real-time across Europe is how Transparency Data should be consumed.

Lastly, we would like to inform you that we need to terminate all existing subscriptions unilaterally by EEX AG in the upcoming days with effect from 31 Dec 2024.
