Landstar President and CEO Frank Lonegro presents Vice President of Business Development Katie Mountain with the Outstanding Management Achievement Award.

Vice President of Business Development Katie Mountain was honored with the Landstar Outstanding Management Achievement Award. Landstar senior management nominates candidates for this award based on effective leadership, managerial skills, significant contributions in the sales, operations or administrative areas, and improved efficiencies and growth for Landstar's network of independent business owners, and to Landstar as a whole.

"Katie's work with Landstar agents is invaluable in the growth of existing agencies throughout the U.S. and Canada," said Landstar President and CEO Frank Lonegro during the award presentation.

Mountain started a program to support independent Landstar agencies in reaching new goals through small group meetings with mentors and year-long follow-up from her team. At the end of the program's first year, participating agents reported an average of 20% to 50% year-over-year revenue growth.

Since Mountain joined Landstar in 2015, she has served as the director of three different departments - Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) services, Expedited services and Ops Solutions - before being named vice president of business development in 2021.

"He is well-respected for protecting the Company's assets, and leading the Company's entire cash management, financial and accounting operations, and has risen to the occasion when he has been asked to step up."

Todd joined Landstar in 2013 as director and assistant corporate controller, and two years later was promoted to vice president and corporate controller. Then, in July of 2022, Todd was named vice president and chief financial officer. He also currently serves on the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank Transportation and Logistics Advisory Council.

Former Landstar President and CEO Jim Gattoni, who retired in February 2024, received the Jeffrey C. Crowe-Robert E. Zonneville Lifetime Achievement Award. The honor, first presented by Landstar 30 years ago, is awarded to an employee who not only succeeds at Landstar, but also helps others succeed along the way.

Gattoni joined Landstar in 1995 as corporate controller. He was promoted to CFO in 2007 and assumed the role of president and CEO in January 2014. Under Gattoni's leadership, Landstar generated $7.4 billion in revenue and $11.76 of earnings per share at its peak in 2022. During his tenure as CEO, the Company generated a 13.3% stock return compound annual growth rate, which many would call industry leading.

"Jim Gattoni prioritized the development of tools and technology, and created an atmosphere throughout Landstar to jumpstart innovation and ensure that our technical solutions enabled our network of entrepreneurs to compete and succeed," said Lonegro. "This lifetime achievement award is in recognition of his long-standing commitment to Landstar, its customers, agents, capacity providers and employees."
