Ballinger Road Bridge Scheduled to Reopen by April 21

Construction is nearly complete for the Ballinger Road Bridge Replacement Project that runs over King George Branch. Weather has impacted the previous schedule for opening the bridge sooner.

During the final stages of the job, traffic will continue to be detoured at Chimney Rock Road and Wakefield Drive. Drivers who need to access Leonard Recreation Center should do so from the west by going past the closed sign at Chimney Rock Road.

Motorists should expect delays around the work area. The job is expected to be completed by Friday, April 21.

Work schedules are dependent on weather conditions and material/equipment availability.
