UPMC Children’s Express Care Expands to Central Pa.

UPMC Children's Express Care is pleased to announce the opening of its first after-hours clinic in central Pa. UPMC Children's Express Care - Hummelstown will open on July 1 at 8105 Adams Drive, Suite C, in Hummelstown Pa. to provide pediatric care on evenings and weekends when your regular doctor's office is closed.

Like existing UPMC Children's Express Care centers, the new Hummelstown location will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, Noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. No appointments are necessary and free parking is available on site. Most health insurances are accepted and copayments are similar to a pediatrician office visit which are generally much less than an urgent care or emergency department visit.

Led by local pediatrician, Natalie Swartzentruber, MD, UPMC Children's Express Care - Hummelstown is staffed by certified providers specially-trained to care for children and adolescents.

In addition, UPMC Children's Express Care - Hummelstown will offer after-hours and weekend video visits available from your home. With Save My Spot, families can also reserve their place in line through our website, CHP.edu/Express, or by using the ChildrensPgh app before they arrive at our clinic to help reduce wait times.

Treatment at the Hummelstown location will include:

  • Animal bites
  • Bee stings
  • Bronchitis, pneumonia and asthma attacks
  • Colds, fever, flu and other viral illnesses
  • Cuts, bumps, lacerations, abrasions and splinters
  • Ear, throat and sinus infections
  • Earaches
  • Incisions and abscess drainage
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration assessment
  • Pink eye
  • Rashes, poison ivy and allergic reactions
  • Simple fractures, twists, sprains, strains and dislocations
  • Splinting
  • Tick bites
  • Urinary tract infections
  • X-ray services are available on-site

Clinic Hours

Monday through Friday: 5 to 9 p.m.
Saturday: Noon to 8 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Video Visit Hours

Monday through Friday: 5 to 9 p.m.
Saturday: Noon to 9 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
