NA President Meets with the Spokesperson of the Scottish National Party in Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

The delegation led by the RA NA President of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan met with the Spokesperson of the Scottish National Party in Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Drew Hendry.

At the meeting reference was made to the regional challenges, post-war problems and its consequences.

Regarding the aggression being carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces, the Armenian delegates presented to their colleagues the consequences of the Lachin Corridor, spoke about the necessity of the protection of rights of the Nagorno Karabakh Armenians. In this context the support of the international partners and the targeted statements were highlighted.

At the end of the meeting, it was noted that Armenia highlights the decentralized cooperation with the United Kingdom.

"The cooperation replenishes the inter-state relations at the level of local self-government bodies, and in that context the experience of the United Kingdom is very important for us. In this regard, we ask you to observe the possibility of cooperation of the self-government entities of Armenia with Scotland," Alen Simonyan underscored.
