BCG introduces 26 weeks paid leave for all parents across the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Belgium

London, Amsterdam, Brussels - Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has announced an update to its paid parental leave policy to entitle all parents to 26 weeks of leave at full pay. The policy, which came into effect on 1 December, 2022, applies to parents welcoming children through biological births, adoption and surrogacy, and can be taken flexibly within the first 12 months of the child's life.

BCG hopes the policy will encourage parents to make choices based on what is best for them, regardless of gender, and kickstart a conversation about the importance of parental leave equality in promoting shared care.

Mai-Britt Poulsen, BCG Managing Director and Senior Partner, and System Leader for London, Amsterdam and Brussels (LAB), commented: "Welcoming a new child into a family is a life-changing moment and I'm deeply proud we can offer all parents a chance to enjoy more of this special time. There is more work to be done, but we are determined to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace, and to play our part in ensuring that parents are not financially disadvantaged by choosing to take parental leave."

Aico Troeman, Managing Director and Partner and People Chair for London, Amsterdam and Brussels says: "Our ambition is to provide choice and flexibility to all parents by improving our policies and making sure that our people can take advantage of them. If we want to continue to attract and retain outstanding talent then we must support them at pivotal moments in their personal and professional lives."

The policy will allow employees to take parental leave and continue to receive full salary, bonus and leave entitlements during this time.
