Route 19 Mount Morris Road Slide Repair Begins Monday in Greene County

Uniontown, PA- Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that a portion of Route 19 (Mount Morris Road) will close Monday, May 13, between Gordon Hill Road and Route 513 (Tower Hill Road) in Whiteley Township, Greene County.

The emergency closure is anticipated through mid-June depending on weather and operations. Crews from Gulisek Construction will be conducting slide repair work that includes an engineered rock slope, new guiderail, and new asphalt pavement - an estimated $564,000 infrastructure investment.

A posted detour will be in place using Route 2018 (Kirby-Garards Fort Road), Interstate 79, and Route 21 (Roy E. Furman Highway).
