PND wins ASCE Juneau Branch Project of the Year

Icy Strait Point (ISP) in Hoonah, Alaska, is a bustling tourist destination that sees thousands of visitors each year. Owned and operated by Huna Totem Corporation, ISP is a popular port of call for many cruise lines. Its steep mountainous terrain and dirt roads, however, made transportation throughout the area - as well as summiting Hoonah Mountain - challenging. PND provided structural and geotechnical engineering for installing the TRANSPORTER Gondola and SKYGLIDER Mountaintop Gondola, as well as other infrastructure improvements that will contribute directly to ISP's reputation as a world-class destination.
