Sixteen Miami Dade College Students Named to the 2023 All-Florida Academic Team

Miami, March 28, 2023 - Sixteen Miami Dade College (MDC) students representing all eight campuses were named to the 2023 All-Florida Academic Team in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement, leadership and service to the community in 2022.

The MDC 2023 All-Florida Academic Team winners are:

Additional Awards:

Enrique Cruz (Wolfson Campus) and Kayla Ribeiro (Kendall Campus) were named 2023 Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholars. They will each receive a $1,500 scholarship. Coca-Cola Academic Team members are recognized in both local and statewide ceremonies. They will also be recognized internationally during Phi Theta Kappa's annual convention, PTK Catalyst, to be held in Columbus, Ohio, April 20-22.

Carlen Arevalo (Padron Campus) was one of only 20 students nationwide selected to the 2023 All-USA Academic team. The All-USA program is widely recognized as the most prestigious academic honor for students attending associate degree-granting institutions.

The Padron Campus was awarded the PTK Advisor Team Award, for teams that demonstrate an exceptional atmosphere of teamwork, leadership abilities, promotion of Phi Theta Kappa programming and other engagement in the Society and enthusiasm for the Society's hallmarks.
