You all know Liz Day, right? The one whose fingerprints are on a bunch of Emmy Awards from the first season of The Weekly? The one who conceived and executed 'Framing Britney Spears,' the documentary that some people watched? The one who decided that wasn't enough, and kept reporting on Britney? She has more than earned a promotion to supervising producer of The New York Times Presents.
Liz will assume a leadership role across the entire New York Times Presents documentary series. Our films will be better as a result.
Liz is a true joy to work with. Her story ideas are better, her reservoir of knowledge about every topic is deeper, her reporting prowess is more impressive, her eye for a story's frailties are sharper, she's funnier, she's a more generous colleague and everyone just likes her more. Frankly, I've never worked with anyone quite like Liz.
Please help me congratulate her.
