Did you know that the City of Southfield offers free wood chips for residents? Southfield residents may take advantage of the City's free wood chips program from April to December while supplies last at the Southfield Municipal Campus located at 26000 Evergreen Road. The wood chips are located behind the baseball diamond located directly behind the Southfield Sports Arena. Residents may take up to five yards of wood chips completely free-of-charge while supplies last. Residents must provide their own equipment to load and transport wood chips. They are available year-round from dawn until dusk. Wood chips are provided to Southfield residents only - no commercial contractors or landscapers.
