In Backing Elise Stefanik, Rep. Claudia Tenney Again Embraces Conspiracies over Truth

Tenney continues to stand behind the most extremist elements of her party

Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney is backing her party's shameless attempt to remove Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney from House GOP leadership for refusing to lie about the 2020 election, putting her support behind fellow Trump loyalist Rep. Elise Stefanik.

Rep. Tenney, who took her seat in Congress with the thinnest and most controversial margin in the country, is choosing to continue backing fellow conspiracy peddlers like Stefanik that are willing to 'carry out the message ' for 'My Kevin' McCarthy, including spreading lies and misinformation about the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election.

Tenney's continued embrace of efforts to divide and confuse voters over the legitimacy of President Biden's election is further proof of how Republicans are willing to endanger our democracy for personal gain.

'Claudia Tenney's continued belief in the Big Lie and support for the Stefanik coup are proof of just how detached from reality Republicans are in DC,' said DCCC Spokesperson Abel Iraola. 'Rep. Tenney has chosen to continue engaging in deeply dishonest partisan politics rather than face the truth and serve her constituents with integrity.'
