Free Service Technician Webinar from ASE: OBDII Data - Reading Between the Lines

Leesburg, Virginia 11/01/2024

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is hosting a free webinar for service technicians on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 4:00 p.m. ET entitled "OBDII Data - Reading Between the Lines."

Technical trainer Rick Escalambre will provide insight into uncovering the mysteries of running monitor tests during this webinar. While attempting to verify a repair, the power control module (PCM) cannot verify the success of the repair if a monitor test does not run. The systematic approach presented will help the technician identify the correct enable criteria, address MODE $06 and demonstrate the variables to complete monitor tests.

Participants in this webinar will learn to work smarter and not harder by reviewing data parameter identification (PIDs) before starting the vehicle and will learn how to come up with an educated answer rather than excuses or stories when monitor tests will not run or take longer than expected.

Participants in this webinar will receive a certificate of attendance at the live session. Please allow one week for automatic email delivery of the certificate. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent containing information about joining the webinar. Those who are not sure if they can attend are encouraged to register as they will receive a follow-up email with details on how to attend a recorded session, if available.
