Students explore their options at Nursing and Midwifery Careers Fair

A Nursing and Midwifery Careers Fair organised for students at the University of Bolton, Greater Manchester, has been hailed a huge success.

Students had the chance to talk to a wide range of employers and explore their options at the event, held in the University's Social Learning Zone.

Employers who attended included: Northern Care Alliance, Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospital, The Lodge at Buckshaw, The Army, Greater Manchester Training Hub, Tameside & Glossop NHS, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust - Research team, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust- Education Team and AACD, Bolton Hospice, Manchester NHS Foundation Trust, Bolton Public Health Service.

Angela Murray, the University's Academic Quality Lead, said; "I would like to thank all the employers who took the time to speak to our learners. We received some excellent feedback and this is hopefully the first of many of these events."

Julie Bateman, Director of Jobs for Students, said the fair had been a great success and had "really helped students to showcase their skills and experience when looking for graduate-level work".

She added: "The team ensured there was a good range of employers for students to meet and seek advice from and it was very busy with lots of engagement."
