Extension of Comment Period on Sand Retention Conceptual Designs

March 26, 2024… San Clemente, California…. The City of San Clemente has extended the timeline for the public to provide comments on the revised draft conceptual coastal resiliency sand retention designs by three additional weeks. The public is requested to submit any comments to the City by Friday, April 19, 2024 by emailing [email protected]

The coastal resiliency sand retention design concepts are the core of the City's Nature Based Coastal Resiliency Project Feasibility Study which seeks to identify solutions to coastal erosion in the City, building on the San Clemente Shoreline Sand Replenishment Project and other public beach restoration projects and plans.

Community input is an essential component of the study, and interested parties are encouraged to provide input on the revised draft sand retention design concepts presented to the public at a community meeting on February 29, 2024. The designs are available on the City website at www.san-clemente.org/sandretention. Additional information on the City's coastal plans and projects is available at www.san-clemente.org/LCP.
