Prime Minister Marin to attend European Council and Euro Summit in Brussels

Prime Minister Sanna Marin will take part in the European Council and Euro Summit in Brussels on 23-24 March. The European Council will focus on Ukraine, competitiveness, the single market and the economy, and energy. The meeting will begin with a discussion between the EU leaders and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

On Tuesday 21 March, Prime Minister Marin will attend a videoconference convened by President of the European Council Charles Michel together with the leaders of Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg. These preparatory video conferences with different groups of countries are regularly held before the European Council meetings.

On Thursday 23 March, outside the programme of the European Council meeting and Euro Summit, Prime Minister Marin will attend the Summit of European Indigenous Sámi People organised by the Finnish Sámi Parliament and the Finnish Presidency of the Barents Euro-Arctic Council in cooperation with the European Parliament.
