Weil Wins 2021 NYLJ Litigation Department of the Year Honors

Weil was one of three firms honored in the General Litigation competition in the New York Law Journal's 2021 Litigation Department of the Year contest, which is part of the publication's annual Professional Excellence awards. Weil was recognized as a Finalist in the general category this year after winning the Class Action specialty category in each of 2020 and 2018, the latter of which was the inaugural edition of the awards.

The publication recognized the winners of its Professional Excellence awards in August, and will publish full profiles of each firm in a special supplement in October 2021.

In winning this honor in the Department-wide category, Weil continues to set the standard for litigation success nationwide based on prestigious accolades awarded by The American Lawyer and its sister publications. The New York Law Journal honored just 11 total firms in this year's contest, which comprised eight specialty practice area competitions in addition to the General Litigation competition. The contest was open to any law firm with a New York presence, and New York lawyers must have played a significant role in the matters submitted for consideration.

The winners will be honored at the New York Legal Awards in New York City on October 13, 2021.
