  • Snacks and tools will be provided
  • Wear closed-toe shoes

Location: Schanen Park, 5930 O'Toole Drive, 78413

The CommuniTree-CC initiative strives to boost greenery across the city, focusing on underserved communities. With support from the Texas Trees Foundation, the project plans to plant trees strategically in locations that can combat the urban heat island effect and enhance the urban tree canopy.

"TXU Energy is proud to join the City of Corpus Christi in expanding the CommuniTree CC program," said Gabe Castro, senior vice president of business markets for TXU Energy. "Our commitment to the region goes beyond just providing safe, reliable power. Together, we're creating a greener, healthier community for generations to come."

"The City of Corpus Christi is pleased to continue the collaboration with TXU Energy and the Texas Trees Foundation on this new partnership," said Robert Dodd, Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Director. "Through this initiative, we are able to engage community volunteers to join us in building a more environmentally sustainable city for our residents, visitors, and future generations."
