Every luxury cabin rental offers exquisite amenities for our guests to enjoy, but probably the most impactful and meaningful amenity is the rustic porch. Bedecked with comfortable conversational seating, fire tables, outside dining, porch swings, rockers...even grills and hot tubs, the porch is where all the memories are made. Overlooking stunning panoramic mountain views, lake views, or peaceful Toccoa River views, the porch is where it's at!
Why do people love porches so much? The porch is where we can play, gather, and socialize ~ making memories during your mountain getaway. Some porches have a rustic elegance ideal for relaxation, and other porches in our large cabin rentals offer tons of seating by way of rockers, tables and chairs, and adirondak chairs ideally situated to take in the view.
People ask if porches are a Southern thing and we tell them that they are big deal in the South ~ even in the mountains in the South! If you wanted to be fancy and call it a veranda, you could since technically, it's an enclosed porch with railing. Several of our cabins have screened in porches overlooking the North Georgia beauty.
The ingredients of a Southern classic porch (even in the North GA Mountains) include a gorgeous vista whether it's a wooded view, a valley view and most definitely a mountain view or lake/river view. You'll need some cushy conversational seating because you might just want to take a little cat nap in the fresh mountain air. Rustic porches might have some rocking chairs or a porch swing perfect for easing the stresses of every day life.
Porches have a certain magnetism to them. Upon arrival when walking through the front door of your luxury cabin rental for the weekend or longer, the first thing you want to see is the view from the porch. Right there, your imagination runs wild with the possibilities for your mountain getaway.
Waking up in the mornings to inspiringly beautiful mountain sunrises draws you out to the porch for your morning coffee ~ contemplating the quietness and serenity. As the sun reaches the sky you begin planning your day with your crew excited to explore all the fun things to do in Blue Ridge.
In the late afternoon and early evening, the porch pulls you out again for a lovely glass of wine or your favorite beverage, making this truly a happy hour (or hours) ~ enjoying the company of those you love, reliving the excitement of the day experiencing Blue Ridge, and watching a most breathtaking mountain sunset to top it off.
Most of our beautiful Blue Ridge cabins are set up so you can dine alfresco and enjoy your evening meals outside on the porch. Fire tables at some of our lodges add a beautiful warm ambience to dinner conversation.

In the cooler months, wood-burning fireplaces create the perfect atmosphere for warmth and congeniality. Some outdoor porches have a TV for your enjoyment while you bask in the warmth of the fire along with family and friends.
If the hot tub is calling to you, what could be more special than a lovely tub in front of a crackling fire in the fireplace with a starry sky beyond the porch.
And when you retire for the night in a luxuriously comfortable bed, know that the rustic porch will be luring you to come outside in the morning and start the cycle all over again with your morning cup of coffee.
